This book cover was created entirely in Photoshop using a variety of brush techniques. I started with broad strokes to outline the basic shapes and then refined them with smaller strokes for added tones and shadows. By focusing on stylization, I aimed to capture the essence of the book, relying solely on the tools available in Photoshop to maintain a cohesive artistic vision. The final piece reflects both the source material and my unique interpretation.
I collaborated with client Joy to establish the book’s look and feel. Book editor Emma Tyler shared unique ideas that guided our sketches. The rough sketch in the first image is where we agreed to begin. Emma suggested a digital painting style, so I designed the cover entirely with brush strokes in Photoshop.
